Frances Marion “Fran” Pospisil, 88, Sebastian

Frances Marion “Fran” Pospisil, 88, died Oct. 11, 2010, at her home.

She was born in Mount Clemens, Mich., and lived in Sebastian for 30 years, coming from New Buffalo, Mich. Before retirement in 1985, she was a chief communications operator with Michigan Bell for 20 years and with Florida Bell for 15 years.

She was a member of the United Church of Sebastian, where she was a deacon and an usher, and participated in the Women’s Fellowship Group.

Survivors include her brother, Clarence E. Kerner, of Shelby Township, Mich.; sisters, Eleanor V. Schoenjahn, of Sterling Heights, Mich., and Clara L. Schoen, of Macomb, Mich.; and companion, Dick Nicholas, of Barefoot Bay.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Pospisil, in 1992; brothers, Irving and Ralph; and sisters, Evelyn, Gladys, Laura and Dorothy.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 14 at Strunk Funeral Home in Sebastian, followed by a service at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Tim Woodard officiating.

Further services will be conducted in Michigan at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home in Mount Clemens.
