INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Four people were detained after deputies shut down a suspected drug house Friday and seized crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia, officials said.

Indian River County deputies conducted the probe after receiving several anonymous complaints from neighbors. Neighbors told deputies that drug dealing would often take place inside a home in the 8500 block of 61st Drive in Wabasso, officials said.

The sheriff’s SWAT team and a K-9 unit searched the residence and seized a quarter ounce of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Two men and two women were arrested in the sting, deputies said.

“During the search warrant, several neighbors expressed their gratitude to our detectives for shutting down this drug house,” Indian River County Sheriff Deryl Loar said in a statement. “We are proud of the work of our team and will continue to rid our streets of those who think they can sell illegal narcotics. Know that your days are numbered, as we are working hard to close down many more.”

James McCray, 51, was charged with sale and possession of heroin; Lutreana Woulard, 60, was charged with sale and possession of cocaine, deputies said.

Adrienne Basile Ward, 47, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. John Gilmore, 61, was charged with possession of cocaine.

McCray, Woulard and Gilmore are from Wabasso and live at the drug home, deputies said. Ward lives in the 100 block of Stony Point Drive, Sebastian.

All four remained at the Indian River County Jail late Monday.

McCray, Woulard and Gilmore have arraignments at 8:45 a.m. Jan. 3, 2020, court records show. Details on Ward’s court date were not available.
