Aerial Antics Youth Circus will celebrate its 52nd year of entertainment with aerial, acrobatic and dance performances at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 30; Friday, July 31; and Saturday, Aug. 1, at Saint Edward’s School’s Gonzalez Lobo Activities Center. The event is part of a 50-year Vero Beach tradition. It will be filled with “incredible aerial acts, breathtaking gymnastics, high-energy dance performances, and amazing talent from our local youth.” The event features performers from Leisure Square’s Gymnastics and Aerial Antics Youth Circus program. The cast ranges in age from 3 to 21 years old. “Their dedication, hard work, and passion shine on stage, making this a truly inspiring show for the whole family.” Tickets are $8 for adults and $7 for children over 5 and seniors, with multi-show passes available. Vero Beach Model Railroaders Family Day Open House will welcome children of all ages from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at the Indian River County Main Library. The event features model Lionel, Garden Scale, HO and N trains along with railroad memorabilia. You are invited to bring along any railroad-related items. The Mental Health Association’s annual Birthday Par-Tee will begin at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, at BigShots Golf. The two-hour event includes golf, appetizers, soft drinks, a cash bar, silent auction, raffles and birthday cake. Admission is $65 per golfer, $365 per six-person team, or $40 for party-only access. Vero Beach Theatre Guild auditions for “Songs for a New World” will be held 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3, and Tuesday, Aug. 4. You can also audition online with video submissions due by 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2. Auditioners must prepare 16 to 32 memorized measures and may use a provided accompanist. Those auditioning must be age 18 or older. You should reserve an audition time slot by going to the theater’s website, VeroBeachTheatreGuild.com. Riverside Theatre will be the place to go for comedy, casual picnic-fare dining, and free musical concerts this weekend. The Comedy Zone shows have family style seating putting guests at long tables. The standup humor may contain coarse language and adult content, so the Comedy Zone is recommended for ages 18 years and older. There is no drink minimum, and there is free parking. The shows run about 80 minutes. They begin at 7 p.m. Friday, July 31, and 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1. Tickets are $25. Riverside Theatre’s free Live in the Loop concert series continues this week with concerts running from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 30, Friday, July 31, and Saturday, Aug. 1.
