Crazy 80’s Dance Party planned to benefit the United Way

VERO BEACH — Bueller….Bueller….You do not want to miss this event – a Crazy 80’s Dance Party to benefit the United Way of Indian River County.  Sponsored by Sabrina K. Carpenter of Perfected Pen and the Sabrina Unscripted radio show, the fun begins Wednesday, Oct. 5 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at The Plaza, 884 17th St. Vero Beach

We are bringing you the best of the 80’s with DJ Special Ed of Class Act Productions taking requests! Tease your hair, break out your leg warmers or parachute pants or like, totally bring out your valley girl and stuff!

Includes food, drinks and a dance party you will never forget. Funds will benefit the educational services of the United Way of Indian River County.

Organizers are seeking donated raffle items & services as well as food and beverage vendors.

Tickets are $15 each or $25 per couple.

VERO BEACH — Nostalgia and the smell of Dodger Dogs swept through the stands of Holman Stadium during Historic Dodgertown’s first Jackie Robinson Day Celebration Game. The National Anthem, fireworks, and the cry of “play ball!” ushered in an evening of wholesome family fun to commemorate baseball’s first African-American player. Robinson played baseball for the Brooklyn Dodgers when the team established spring training in Vero Beach in 1948.
