Palm Bay man arrested 31/2 years after Sebastian SunTrust Bank robbery

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY – A Palm Bay man accused of robbing a SunTrust Bank in Sebastian, along with a Sunoco gas station in January 2008 has been arrested, the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday.

On June 1, John Nocilla, now-28, was arrested in Indian River County under two county warrants issued for robbery and robbery with a deadly weapon in connection to the two 2008 cases. According to the Sheriff’s Office he was arrested following his release from the Florida Department of Corrections.

In a cooperative effort between the Palm Bay Police Department and the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office the subject involved in the Sunoco and bank robberies was identified as Nocilla.

He has since been arrested in Brevard County for additional robbery charges in their jurisdiction.
