Fish for a cause at Gator Bait Classic Fishing Tournament

VERO BEACH — The Treasure Coast Gator Club, a locally based affiliate of the University of Florida Alumni Association, will host their 3rd Annual Treasure Coast Gator Bait Classic Fishing Tournament on Saturday, April 30.  All proceeds from the TCGBC will benefit the Treasure Coast Gator Club Program, which provides scholarships to local students.

Now in its third year, a prize pool of over $16,000 (based on a 60 boat entry) will be awarded to the heaviest stringer.  Angle for dolphin, wahoo, cobia or kingfish and win a chance to be a crowned victor.

The event will be held at the Fort Pierce City Marina.  A Captains Meeting and Registration will take place from 5 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, April 29.  Tournament Check-Out is at 7 a.m. Saturday, April 30.

Early registration is $300 per boat until April 28, and regular registration is $350 per boat after that date. The first 50 boats to register will receive a free Gator Bait Bucket.

The Treasure Coast Gator Club is a 501(c) 3 organization that celebrates and provides networking opportunities for local alumni and Florida fans alike, in addition to our core mission of raising funds for area students’ scholarships. In addition to social centered events, The Treasure Coast Gator Club boasts one of the largest endowments provided to future students.
