Annual tradition celebrates the families whose legacies helped shape the history and heritage of Indian River County.
VERO BEACH, Fla. — Vero Heritage, Inc. is proud to announce that the Haffield Family will be honored at the 21st Annual Indian River County Pioneer Family Recognition Dinner, taking place Friday, October 9, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at The Heritage Center in Historic Downtown Vero Beach.
For more than two decades, the Pioneer Family Recognition Dinner has celebrated the families whose lives, work and contributions have played an important role in the story of Indian River County. This year’s event will recognize the Haffield Family and their enduring legacy and contributions to the history and heritage of our community.
Guests will gather for an evening of dinner, fellowship and a special recognition ceremony honoring the Haffield family’s place in Indian River County history.

Tickets: $75 per person
Tickets are available through Vero Heritage or may be purchased at the Indian River Citrus Museum. Tickets must be purchased by September 25, 2026.
SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE
Vero Heritage is also inviting local businesses, organizations, and community members to support this important tradition through event sponsorship.
Sponsorship opportunities range from $500 to $5,000, with benefits including event tickets, reserved seating and recognition through Vero Heritage publications, social media, event signage and the official event program, depending on sponsorship level.
Reserved tables for eight guests are also available for $800.
The deadline to become an event sponsor is September 25, 2026.
Proceeds from the event support the mission of Vero Heritage, Inc. and its continued work to preserve, share and celebrate the history of Vero Beach and Indian River County for future generations.
