INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Four women and a man were recently arrested in a series of undercover drug busts and a sixth suspect still remains loose.
Detectives with Indian River County’s Multi-Agency Criminal Enforcement unit arrested the suspects on oxycodone trafficking charges of May 4 and 6, two stemming from an investigation that began in November 2009. That investigation led to the identification of several people believed to be selling large quantities of prescription pills.
In November, an undercover detective and confidential informant made contact with two suspects at a home on 22nd Court near Vero Beach, during which they sold the informant 50 oxycodone pills.
As a result of that drug-buy, warrants were issued for both Joan Parker, 47, and John Hardin, 64. Hardin was arrested Thursday. Parker remains on the loose.
Hardin, who is in jail in lieu of $135,000 bail, faces charges of trafficking in oxycodone and sale/delivery of oxycodone.
Parker’s arrest warrant is issued on the same charges as Hardin.
Also arrested in undercover drug buys were Kerri Rene Hernly, 22; Lori Jeanne McCoy, 44; Linda Harper, 57; and Ericka Lynn Translavina, 31; all of whom were arrested on May 4.
Their charges are as follows:
Ericka Translavina: purchase of oxycodone, possession and sale of oxycodone within 1,000 feet of a school, and possession of alprazolam. She has been released from jail on $15,000 bond.
Linda Harper: purchase of oxycodone. She is being held at the county jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
Lori McCoy: trafficking in oxycodone and sale/delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a convenience store. She is in jail in lieu of $75,000 bail.
Kerri Hernly: trafficking in oxycodone and sale/delivery of oxycodone. She is jail in lieu or $75,000 bail.
