Sebastian woman accused of using fake prescriptions to get drugs

VERO BEACH – A Sebastian woman is in the Indian River County jail without bond accused of passing fake prescriptions to get drugs at a south county pharmacy.

The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Kristin Ann Squitieri, of Clermont Street in Sebastian, on Tuesday, Feb. 10. She faces felony charges of obtain/attempt to obtain a controlled substance by fraud and attempt/obtain a legend drug fraud, according to the arrest report.

The Sheriff’s Office arrest report shows that Squitieri contacted a pharmacy by phone to order two prescriptions, hydrocodone and Flexril – a muscle relaxant and what the Sheriff’s Office categories as a “legend” drug.

A detective contacted the prescribing doctor’s office and confirmed that the prescription was fake. The pharmacy filled the prescription and when Squitieri arrived at the pharmacy to pick up her prescriptions, she was arrested, the arrest report states.
