INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Indian River County Recreation Department will be taking registrations for the 2014 Summer Basketball Season, and spots are filling up fast.
The department will only honor the first five requests per team. This co-ed league is designed to teach the fundamentals of basketball, sportsmanship, discipline, and most importantly fun.
Children ages 4-15 are encouraged to participate this season.
Player fees are $35 and Sponsor fees are $150. Birth certificates are required at time of registration. Registration will close on May 30.
Teams will be separated by age divisions:
- Tot-Time: 4-5 yrs.old
- Mighty Mite: 6-8 yrs. old
- Midgets: 9-10 yrs. old
- Juniors: 11-12 yrs. old
- Seniors: 13-15 yrs. Old
* Playing age reached by Aug. 4, 2014.
Coaches, officials, and sponsors are needed for all age groups.
Sign up at the County Administration Building, Gifford Aquatic Center, or North County Aquatic Center between 8:30a.m. – 5p.m.
