Jane Schnee purchased 10.67 acres of land last week in order to save the four Florida Scrub Jays and Gopher Tortoises that live there. The property is loaded with trash that has been dumped there for years. The need is great to clean up the property to enable the wildlife there to survive.
Cleanups are scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 27 and Sunday, Aug. 28, beginning at 7:00 a.m. Volunteers can arrive anytime and leave whenever they want.
The property is located on the north side of Barber St., east of Bristol St., directly across from “Park Place” in Sebastian, Fla. Park on the north side of Barber St.
Please look for Jane Schnee who will be near a red Honda Fit car for instructions and trash bags. Please remember to bring water with you. You will not be working very far from your car so you can easily return to it for breaks.
