Lawrence “Larry” Lee Reeves 69, of Ashland, Ky., formerly of Vero Beach, died June 15, 2010 in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Ashland.
He was born Oct. 11, 1940 in Ashland, a son of the late Alonzo G. Reeves & Nannie Dean Reeves Horr. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Arthur Horr and a sister, Ruby Jean Reeves.
He was a US Army veteran, retired welder, a member of Holy Family Church in Ashland, Eagles #4067, VFW Post # 10210 and the American Legion all of Sebastian. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Micco.
He was a well known musician and served as vice president of the Sunshine State Country Music Association.
Survivors include his loving wife of 46 Janet Ramey Reeves of Ashland; son, William Scott Reeves of Vero Beach; daughter, Laura Jane Reeves of Ashland; sisters, Mahala Jane “Polly” Johnson, Artie Withrow & Sara Ramey all of Ashland; grandchildren, Stephanie Nicole Reeves, Jared Smith, Dustin Lee Jackson & Reva Renee Reeves.
