INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Seven county water utility customers will be without water for approximately two hours Wednesday, May 2, starting at about 11:30a.m., water officials said.
The water outage is needed along the 6600 block of 110th Place for crews to install a blow off and timer.
Upon restoration of water service, the Indian River County Utilities Department advises that all water used for the following be boiled (a rolling boil of one minute is sufficient):
Drinking
Cooking
Making ice
Brushing teeth
Hand washing dishes
Bottled water may be used as an alternative.
This boil water notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink. The department is unable to provide an exact time of survey completion, though it should be no more than 72 hours.
A rescission notice will be distributed.
