VERO BEACH — The Village Green community in Vero Beach is aiming to make this holiday season meaningful for families in need by hosting its seventh annual Toys for Tots Drive in Vero Beach.
Since 2008, residents of the Village Green community have teamed up with the marines to become the largest Toys for Tots contributor in Indian River County.
“Village Green is one of our most beloved locations for toy pickup, as the residents here include many former service members,” said Vic Diaz, a former Marine Corps Sergeant who has been involved with Toys for Tots for more than 20 years. “Each year we are greeted warmly and the residents have become attached to us, and us to them. With the help of partners like Village Green we can meet our goal and serve the children of Indian River County, ensuring that every child in need receives a little Christmas.”
Anyone in the community can drop toys off at Village Green, 7300 20th Street, Vero Beach before Dec. 5, 2014.
