The Breathtaking True Story Turned Musical Premieres this Fall
Vero Beach, FL—Vero Beach Theatre Guild lights up its MainStage with the Tony Award-winning musical, Come From Away from October 16th-November 1st. In honor of 25 years since the events of September 11th, this remarkable true story gives us reason to defend our faith in humanity.
The musical tells the story of 7,000 passengers left stranded and at the mercy of local residents in an isolated Canadian town after the abrupt closure of North American airspace. Blindsided by the events, fear and anxiety threaten to take hold of the travelers, but the local residents oppose it with their overwhelming acts of sacrifice and kindness, welcoming the passengers into their town without hesitation.
“At its core, Come From Away is about the power of community and human kindness during a crisis,” says Dee Rose, President of The Guild and Director of the show. “This beautiful message is an essential story that our world needs now more than ever.”
Under Dee Rose’s direction and assisted by Bill Collins, Come From Away is already generating massive excitement among patrons and new theatergoers alike. Featuring musical direction from Gregory Harris and choreography by Beth Shestak, this gripping production is ready to capture the hearts of its audience, leaving an indelible mark on all who experience it.
