Best Places to Work Awards Ceremony scheduled for Oct. 20

VERO BEACH –The 2011 Indian River County’s Best Places to Work Awards Ceremony will be held at the Club at Pointe West on Thursday, Oct.20, at 11 a.m. with opening remarks by Mark E. Covey, Vice President, Modeling and Simulations, of Digital Domain Media Group and Hamp Elliott of Treasure & Space Coast Radio as the master of ceremonies.

Workforce Solutions with support from the Indian River Chamber of Commerce, the Treasure Coast HR Association and Sebastian River Area Chamber of Commerce present the 2011 Indian River County Best Places to Work Program.

“For the first time, we will be recognizing twelve companies,” said Marcelo Dossantos, Workforce Solutions Indian River County branch manager. “These organizations have demonstrated excellence in attracting, engaging, training and retaining employees.”

Last year’s winners for the category of 50 employees and under were Diabetes & Endocrine Associates, Kmetz, Nuttall, Graham, CPA, Legler Orthodontics, and Marine Bank & Trust. In the category over 50 employees the winners were Comcast, CVS Distribution Center, Indian River Medical Center, and VNA of the Treasure Coast.

The Best Places to Work is a national program that was developed to provide a confidential forum for local employers to participate in an evaluation of various local workplace best practices and programs. It provides an opportunity for employers to compare themselves to others of a similar size and serves as a valuable tool for business and human resource planning.

Admittance to the awards ceremony is $30 and must be paid in advance.
