INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Soon, you’ll be able to “shop and adopt” at a convenient new location. Starting August 1, the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County will open its new All For Paws store along the western wing of the Indian River Mall, opposite the General Nutrition Center. A Grand Opening celebration will take place from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday, August. 6
When All For Paws at the Indian River Mall opens, not only will you encounter an array of pets ready for adoption, you’ll get to select from an impressive inventory of exceptional pet supplies, unique and fun pet gifts, and vital behavior and training aids.
“Perhaps the most critical service our Shelter performs is to match up deserving animals with loving homes,” states Phaedra Kohler, HSVB’s Director of Customer and Volunteer Services. “To accomplish this mission, we are constantly looking for opportunities to place adoptable pets in front of the people who can provide them homes. Our new storefront in the Indian River Mall will help us make this happen.”
The new All For Paws/IRM shop will be staffed with trained volunteers who will assist you in the adoption process, including using the Meet Your Match survey to help assure that you find the animal perfectly suited for you and your living situation. In addition, our team will be able to advise you in selecting from the inventory of pet supplies, gifts, and aids featured on our store’s shelves.
“In our new store,” observes Kohler, “we’ll carry an inventory of the pet products most demanded by animal professionals and savvy pet people. We will feature those hard-to-find products and unique gift items that are often overlooked by other retailers.”
In fact, All For Paws/IRM will carry the same items stocked in our All For Paws Pettique (in our Shelter’s Adoption Center lobby), and more. And, while we will have adoptable pets showcased in our storefront, we will still have many more pets available back at the Shelter.
“Keep one thing in mind,” adds Kohler. “When you shop and adopt with HSVB, you are helping sustain our vital mission. The ‘profits’ we earn become the funds we need to preserve the lives of worthy animals – those who cannot speak for themselves.”
