Compete in 5K to prevent and treat drug abuse

SEBASTIAN – Join the Substance Awareness Council of Indian River County and compete in its annual “Beverly Norris” 5K Run/Walk to help prevent and treat drug abuse. The 5K begins at 7 a.m. Monday, July 4 at Riverview Park in Sebastian. Race day entries will be accepted starting at 6 a.m. July 4th.

The course, which begins and ends at Riverview Park is level and paved, out and back. Water stations are located at mile one and mile two, and refreshments follow the race.

Awards: Age group awards to top 3 male and female finishers in following categories:

Runners – Male/Female Overall, Male/Female Overall Masters, 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & over.

Walkers – Top 3 male and female finishers.

Entry Fee is $20 in advance; $25 on race day. Shirts guaranteed to the first 200 registered.
