Vero Beach businesses partner to aid Japan with fashion-themed effort

VERO BEACH – Two businesses will pool their resources and help the Japan earthquake relief effort at the Fountains at Royal Palm Pointe.

Vero Beach Style and Jill Douglas Photography are hosting the Japan Fashion Relief event, in concert with other local businesses donating $100 to the American Red Cross efforts in Japan. The event will be held this Sunday, May 15, from 1 to 6 p.m. at the fountains. Japan Fashion Relief t-shirts will be available for $25 at the event.

Starting at 2 p.m. professional model Rachael Hine will conduct a Beauty & Modeling workshop for those who purchase a t-shirt, and individuals will get their photo taken wearing their JFR tees.

Women are encouraged to bring a pair of high heels and participate in a lesson on how to walk the catwalk.

Jill Douglas will be photographing models throughout the day at the various participating businesses.  All who attend will be part of the behind the scenes fashion shoot and will also get their picture taken.

Images will be posted on Facebook’s “Vero Beach Style” page.
