About a year ago, the owners of the Greenhouse Cafe on 13th Ave applied for and received special permitting to allow dogs to join diners on their patio.
Do you know they are the only pet friendly establishment to comply with this law?
It seems a bit unfair that other restaurants allow dogs, but do not pay for the permit while the Greenhouse literally pays its dues.
Perhaps Vero Beach should take another look at this issue and allow restaurants to make their own choice about allowing dogs in their outdoor dining areas.
I doubt the one fee actually paid covers the cost of the paperwork involved.
