Sebastian River Area Chamber installs new officers and board members

SEBASTIAN — The Sebastian River Area Chamber of Commerce installed its new officers and board members for 2011 on November 20, 2010 during their annual dinner at Capt’n Butchers in Sebastian. Incoming president, Debbi Vickers welcomed Theresa Tolle, Vice President and Bob Daberkow, Treasurer as officers, along with newly elected board members, Betty Lollio, Seacoast National Bank and Maggie Sammons, Custom Air Systems.

Other board members who serve the Chamber members include Sandi Gehrke, TD Bank, Emily Holliman, SRMC, Michelle Napier, Dill & Evans, and Patti Jamar, Vero Fashion Outlets. Joining them as appointed directors are Capt. Christy Lenz, “Casual Cruisin,” Chuck Mechling, Collier Club, Chris O’Rourke, CPA, Ted Panckiewicz, Park Place, Beverly Paris, Paris Productions, and Shawn Reeves, Merriweather Designs.

The 2010 Chamber Member of the Year was awarded to Sebastian River Medical Center; Patti Jamar, Vero Fashion Outlets, was honored as Chamber Director of the Year; Debbie Lloyd Lee, Truly Nolen, received honors as the Ambassador of the Year, and Tom Whipple, Palm Bay Fire Extinguishers, was awarded Volunteer of the Year.

The Chamber recognized Daisy Knowles, Marketing Director of the Sebastian River Medical Center and awarded her a lifetime honorary membership in the Chamber for her thirty seven years of dedicated service to the community, Sebastian River Medical Center and the Chamber.

The Sebastian River Area Chamber of Commerce, a certified chamber, is a business organization, incorporated in 1958, with over 450 members, serving over 3,000 employers, employees, and community organizations in the Sebastian River Area.
