Safe Boating classes offered by USCG Auxiliary Flotilla

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Auxiliary Flotilla is offering a number of classes to make the boating public aware of its services and the Coast Guard’s ongoing safe boating and life saving efforts.

All presentations are given on Saturday; register in advance by phone or in person on the day of the event. One day training and insurance cost reductions (check with your individual insurance company) are possible.

The cost of the training is $36 per eight-hour program; significant family discounts are offered. Included in the cost are materials, work book, Certificate, one year free membership in Boat US, and filing of forms with the State of Florida for the Florida State Boaters Card.

Flotilla 58 Fort Pierce About Boating Safe schedule for 2010 includes classes on August 21, September 18, October 16 and November 13.
