Edwin Peter Ek, 73, of Vero Beach, Florida, died Monday, July 26, 2010 at Consulate Health Care. He was born April 12, 1937 in New Haven, Conn., and had been a resident of Vero Beach for 19 years, coming from Pemaquid Point, Maine.
Ek was the former owner of The Bradley Inn, Pemaquid Point. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Ek was a member of Riverside Church Assembly of God, in Sebastian, and a Chairman of Missions Committee at Riverside Church. He was also a member of Tuesday Morning Men’s Bible Study at Morning Star Church, in Vero Beach.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Louine Wilson Ek; sons, E. Christopher Ek, of Jensen Beach, and Philip Beattie of Mansfield, Mass.; daughter, Sondra Vecchio, of Big Canoe, Ga and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at Riverside Church Assembly of God on Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010 at 4 p.m.
