11 residences on 10th Court on alert to boil water

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Eleven Indian River County water customers on 10th Court are without water this afternoon as crews work to repair a broken water main.

Upon restoration of water service, the Indian River County Utilities Department advises that all water used for the following be boiled (a rolling boil of one minute is sufficient):

Bottled water may be used as an alternative.

This boil water notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink. The department is unable to provide an exact time of survey completion, though it should be no more than 72 hours.

A rescission notice will be distributed.
