INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A woman who was gunned down in front of her residence in a domestic violence incident was identified by deputies as 52-year-old Dawn Kriskewic on Tuesday. Sheriff’s officials also released pictures of Kriskewic.
In a 911 call released Monday by the sheriff’s office, the caller told dispatchers there was a woman’s body lying in the street. “I think she’s dead. Somebody killed her,” the caller told the dispatcher.

Law enforcement agencies nationwide were still searching for 33-year-old Matthew Allen Waggle, who they considered to be armed and dangerous. Deputies described Waggle as a person of interest.
Deputies said Kriskewic and Waggle had a relationship, but further details were not released.
The shooting was being investigated as a homicide. Sheriff Eric Flowers spoke from the scene Sunday, where he urged anyone with information on the shooting to contact the sheriff’s office.
“Anybody out there who witnessed this, please call us,” Flowers said. “We want to know what you heard and saw.”
Deputies responded to reports of a woman found lying in the roadway about 8:41 a.m. Sunday in the 500 block of First Street, west of U.S. 1 and south of the Vero Beach city limits. The woman was found right outside of her residence in the mobile home lot, according to sheriff’s officials.
Deputies discovered the woman with at least one gunshot wound and immediately tried to resuscitate her, sheriff’s officials said. The woman was taken by ambulance to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce, where doctors pronounced her dead.
The motive for the shooting was not immediately known. The town Waggle lives in was not available. Deputies said Waggle’s last known address was in Sebastian.
Flowers previously said he believed Waggle was no longer in Indian River County. The sheriff described the neighborhood where the shooting occurred as a well-populated area.
Flowers said deputies believe Waggle fled from the area in a vehicle. Anyone who sees Waggle or knows his whereabouts should not approach him and immediately dial 911.
Waggle was described by deputies as a white man with brown hair and blue eyes. Waggle is 6-feet tall and weighs 200 pounds.
“If you witnessed this incident, were in the area of First Street (Sunday) morning, or have any information that could assist investigators, please contact the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office or Treasure Coast Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous,” sheriff’s officials said in a statement.
Callers can contact the sheriff’s office at 772-569-6700. Crime Stoppers can be reached at 1-800-273-TIPS or tcwatch.org.
