John (Jack) Alfred Hansen, 87, died Jan. 3, 2010 at Consulate Health Care of Vero Beach.
He was born in Anchorville, Mich., and lived in Indian River County for 31 years coming from the Detroit area.
Mr. Hansen owned his own business, Engineering Prototypes, Inc. from 1961 until 1979 when he retired.
He was a member of Church of Christ and was a 35-year member of the Detroit Yacht Club.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Gloria June Hansen, children Larry Hansen (Sakhan) California, Jeanine Ingram, Michigan, stepchildren, Sherri Casey (Terry) Kentucky, Steve Lindsey (Barb) Florida, and 4 grand children.
Mr. Hansen is also survived by a 98-year-old sister Mary Stein of MIichigan.
He was preceded in death by wife Barbara in 1970.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Vero Beach Church of Christ, 3305 20th Street, Vero Beach, FL.
Services will be at the Vero Beach Church of Christ Friday Jan. 8, 2010 at 11:30 a.m.,with Minister Tracy Moore officiating.
