Eileen Margaret Plate, 71, Sebastian

March 19, 1951 – April 28, 2022
Mrs. Eileen Margaret Plate, 71, of Sebastian, Florida passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.Eileen was born in Queens, New York to the late George and Madelaine Prehm Freudig. Eileen and her husband John, moved to Sebastian in 1989 from Bayport, New York.She had obtained a computer science degree in New York and had most recently worked for Publishers’ Alliance in Vero Beach before retiring.  Eileen was a member of St. Elizabeth Episcopal Church in Sebastian.  She loved travelling and being a very involved volunteer for the Sebastian Soccer Association and the Sebastian High School for which she received the Golden Apple Award.

Eileen took great delight in being involved and supportive of her family.

Survivors include her husband John Henry Plate, son Jeffrey John (Jennifer) Plate of Sebastian, daughter Stacey Madelaine (Jonathan) Epstein of Royal Palm Beach, and grandchildren John Plate, Jacob Plate, and Ryder Epstein.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.

The family will receive friends 5-7 PM, Friday, May 6, 2022 at the Strunk Funeral Home in Sebastian.  A funeral service celebrating her life will begin at 11 AM, Saturday, May 7, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Episcopal Church in Sebastian.  Interment will be at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery 11 AM, Monday, May 9, 2022.

Harry Stewart Lutz, 51, Sebastian

September 1, 1970 – April 29, 2022

Harry Stewart Lutz, 51, of Sebastian, Florida died Friday, April 29, 2022 at Halifax Health Hospice in Edgewater.

Harry was born in Woodbury, New Jersey. He then moved with his family in 1984 to Sebastian, Florida from Pittman, New Jersey.

Harry attended Vero Beach High School and had many friends in the Sebastian area, as well as many other places he lived.

He loved the ocean and the Indian River.

Harry was a nature loving guy.  He absolutely loved hunting, surfing, fishing and animals, especially his two Siamese cats Bubba and Molly.

Survivors include his parents Harry and Susan Lutz of Sebastian, life partner Cheri L. Varney of Edgewater, daughters Peyton Lutz of Palm Bay and Dinah Jewels of Indiana, sisters Kathy J. Lutz of Sebastian and Jamie S. (Matt) Hall of Sebastian, grandson Noah Marcella of Palm Bay, grandmother Doris M. Lutz of Sebastian, nieces Lauren, Mya, Alicia, Bethany and nephew Aiden.

Suesan Marie Simone, 63, Vero Beach

February 26, 1959 – May 1, 2022

Suesan Marie Simone, 63 of Vero Beach, Florida passed away on May 1, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born to Susie and the late Ralph Merolla on February 26, 1959 in Providence, Rhode Island.

Suesan is survived by her husband Kenneth Simone of Vero Beach, Florida; her son James Peluso and his wife Rebecca of Barrington, Rhode Island; her son Matthew Peluso and wife Katherine of Hoboken, New Jersey; her daughter Dawn Simone Corvese and husband Michael of Johnston, Rhode Island; and her daughter Vanessa Simone Dos Santos and husband Antonio of Cranston, Rhode Island. She is also survived by her adored grandchildren, Gian Corvese, Emily Peluso, Valentina Dos Santos, James Peluso, Monroe Peluso, Kennedy Peluso, Lucas Peluso & McKinley Peluso. Suesan is also survived by her sister Elizabeth Lisi of Vero Beach, Florida and brother Ralph Merolla of Pawtucket, Rhode Island. And missed by her loving pet Snowball.
