I-95 reopens between Sebastian, Vero after tractor-trailer fire

The southbound lanes of Interstate 95 between Sebastian and Vero Beach have been reopened following a tractor-trailer fire Saturday afternoon.

Indian River County Fire Rescue extinguished a fire that engulfed a tractor-trailer headed southbound on Interstate 95 just south of the Sebastian/Fellsmere exit.

The incident was reported shortly after 2 p.m. Saturday. No injuries were immediately reported.

Fellsmere Police responded to the scene and has since turned over the investigation to the Florida Highway Patrol.
