Equilla Maycock, 88, of Vero Beach, passed away on Feb. 16, 2014.
She was born on July 10, 1925 in Shellman Bluff, Ga., and has been a resident of Indian River County for over 60 Years.
She is survived by her son, Michael Sears; daughters, Joyce Pride, Marsha Lane, and Lottie Nicholson; brother, John Lamb; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Randolph Maycock, parents, Lottie Grier and Lester Jones and brother, Richard Lamb.
Macycock was a member of the House of God where she served as chairman of the Deaconess Board. She was also a member of the Gifford Cemetery Club.
Visitation will be Friday Feb. 21, from 3 to 7 p.m., at The House of God Church in Gifford. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., at The House of God Church, 3635 43rd Street, in Gifford. Burial will follow at Gifford Cemetery.
