Velma Louise Oglesby, 79, died Jan. 22, 2012, at Hawthorne Health and Rehabilitation Center in Brandon.
She was born in St. Louis, Mo., and lived in the Sebastian/Fellsmere area for 24 years, coming from Winsted, Conn.
Survivors include her son, Eric Oglesby, of Riverview; brother, Billy, of Florida; and sister, Laverne, of Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Oglesby in 2007; and her sister, Jean.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Jan. 30 at Fellsmere Brookside Historic Cemetery in Fellsmere.
Arrangements are by Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory in Sebastian.
