Francis Joseph “Frank” Oberbeck, 73, died March 15, 2011 at Halifax Health, Daytona Beach.
He was born in Brooklyn, New York and lived in Sebastian for 33 years coming from Lake Ronkonkoma, New York.
He served in the US Marine Corps.
He was the owner/operator of Oberbeck & Associates Building Contracting Company located in Sebastian.
He was a master mason and a member the Sebastian Masonic Lodge; he was a Scottish rite mason and a member of the Shrine.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the NRA.
He served on the Sebastian City Council for 12 consecutive years.
Survivors include his wife, of 53 years, Carol Irvine Oberbeck, of Sebastian; sons, Glenn Oberbeck, of Satellite Beach, Kevin Oberbeck, of Abington, Mass.; daughters, Christie Pecoraro, of Sebastian, Stacy Oberbeck, of Smyrna, Tenn.; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his son, Bryan Oberbeck.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on March 19, 2011, at First Presbyterian Church of Sebastian with Dr. Rev. Don Swope, Rev. Eleanor B. Lea of First Presbyterian Church of Sebastian and Rev. Hoyt Byrum of Trinity Presbyterian church of Satellite Beach, officiating.
Military Honors will be conducted by the Sebastian Area Veterans’ Honor Guard.
