Marcelle Nicole Solomon, 78, died March 25, 2011, at her home.
She was born in Kedgewick, New Brunswick, and lived in Vero Beach for 17 years.
She was employed as a nurse, working at hospitals in the Pittsburgh and Presque Isle, Maine, areas.
She also worked as a public health nurse, pharmaceutical company representative and as a director of nursing for many nursing homes in Vero Beach.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Louis M. Solomon, of Vero Beach; sons, David G. Solomon, of Nashua, N.H., Louis P. Solomon, of Saco, Maine, and Richard S. Solomon, of Portland, Maine; brothers, Paul Deschenes, Alex Deschenes, and Jean Yves Deschenes; sisters, Monique Deschenes, Jacqueline Deschenes, Micheline Deschenes and Ginette Deschenes, all of Canada; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Camille.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. March 29 at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach, with a reception to follow in the Plaza.
