VERO BEACH — Do you have what it takes to be a Dashing Dog Detective or a Prowling Private-Eye Pussycat? Are you a CSI Clue-Solving Investigator, sly enough to outfox some of Vero’s most astute animal agents? If so, join in on a fun-filled family adventure at the Adventures of Sherlock Bones Scavenger Hunt, presented by the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County Young Professionals group, The Yuppie Puppies. Make no Sherlock Bones about it…this is a formidable challenge, set to take place on Saturday, May 21, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. beginning and ending at the Humane Society’s Adoption Center, 6230 77th Street.
Whether you are a team of two, like the “Daring Dachshund Duo” or a team of four like the “Fearsome Furry Foursome,” teams will unite to set their paws to the pedal as the race begins to outwit other teams to become the “Greatest Pet Detectives.”
Teams are comprised of a minimum of two members and a maximum based on the amount of seatbelts in your vehicle. Teams will be given a list of clues taking them on an adventure throughout the county, snooping and sniffing for answers in a quest for victory.
The wittiest team, the one who solves the most clues within the time frame allotted, will be granted the “paw”stigous title of the “Greatest Pet Detectives.”
The cost to participate is $25 per adult team member; $10 for children 15 and under, which includes lunch, an event t-shirt and a team mascot.
