Charles J. “Bud” Foster III, 73, died Dec. 12, 2010, at Indian River Medical Center.
He was born in Newark, N.J., and lived in of Vero Beach since 2003, coming from Bethany Beach, Del., where he spent his summers.
He was a veteran of the Marine Corps.
He was a graduate of the University of Delaware.
He retired as supervisor of the Delaware Emergency Management Agency after 18 years.
Survivors include his wife, Susan; sons, Charles J. Foster IV, of Wilmington, Del., Matthew J. Foster, of Locust Grove, Ga., and Andrew S. Foster, of Macon, Ga.; daughters, Elizabeth F. Day, of Wilmington and Susan F. Dawejko, of Haverford, Pa.; stepson, Chris L. Grigsby, of Albuquerque, N.M.; stepdaughter, Heather Stiefvater, of Dillon, Colo.; brothers, James P. Foster, of Johns Creek, Ga., Michael F. Foster, of Sanibel Island, Rehoboth Beach, Del., and Philip F. Foster, of Chadsford, Pa., and 14 grandchildren.
Services will be in Delaware.
