Norman Richard Valente, 75, died Nov. 7, 2010, at Dixie Oak Manor in Vero Beach.
He was born in New Haven, Conn., and lived in Vero Beach for 10 years, coming from Connecticut. Before retirement, he owned and operated a flooring business in Connecticut for more than 30 years. He was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include his daughters, Rayanne Adams, Rhonda Dawson and Carrie Diaz, all of Vero Beach, and Norma Valente and Pamela Lowther, both of Ellsworth, Mass.; brothers, Charles George and Nelson Valente, both of Connecticut, and Gary Valente of Florida; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Butchy Valente.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 13 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery.
