VERO BEACH — Members of Exchange Club of Indian River entertained their families at the Exchange Family Days Bowling Night on Wednesday evening, September 29, at the new Vero Bowl Lanes and Lounge.
Enjoying both traditional and “wacky” bowling games, R.J. MacMillan scored 188 and Kathy Schlitt 150 to be the winners of Traditional Bowling, and Nancy Gollnick’s daughter, Lindsey Gollnick Spears, earned the lowest score of 38. Valerie MacMillan captured the top Wacky Bowling prize with a score of 117, and Bob Poore’s son Benjamin and Marllyn Justice’s daughter Crista Porpiglia tied to earn the lowest Wacky score of 41.
This event, chaired by Jenny Frederick, was one of the club’s four “Fifth Wednesday” events of the year.
Exchange Club of Indian River meets for lunch at Culinary Capers each Wednesday at noon. Meetings feature programs on a wide range of business, government and civic, charity, personal, and professional topics. It provides the community with programs in youth activities, service, and Americanism.
Members are busy planning for the Second Annual Winner-Fest Merry Christmas Raffle, chaired by R.J. MacMillan, to be held December 18 at the Seventh Annual Pointe West’s Winter Fest in Heritage Park.
Top prize in this year’s Raffle is a 32GB Apple iPad with Wi-Fi valued at more than $700. All proceeds benefit local child abuse prevention projects; the winner need not be present to win.
The Foundation’s other major fundraiser is the 35th Annual Exchange Club Blue Water Open “Dolphin Mania” Charity Fishing Tournament on May 21.
