Nicholas F. Catapano, 91, died Sept. 13, 2010, at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach. He was born in Westbury, N.Y., and lived in Vero Beach for 23 years, coming from Jersey City, N.J.
He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Before retirement in 1981, he was employed by the Kraft Foods Co. for 24 years.
He was a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3918, the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1822 and the Lakewood Village Men’s Club.
Survivors include his son, Neil Catapano, of Doylestown, Pa.; daughter, Felice Iannucci, of Monroe, N.J.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Filomena Catapano; and daughter, Angela Catapano.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Oct. 8 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach.
Interment will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach.
