INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Fifteen residences on 15the Place and 16th Street will have to boil their water once water is restored following a water main break Monday morning. The water outage was expected to be short-lived.
Upon restoration of water service, the Indian River County Utilities Department advises that all water used for the following be boiled (a rolling boil of one minute is sufficient):
Drinking
Cooking

Bottled water may be used as an alternative.
This boil water notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink. The department is unable to provide an exact time of survey completion, though it should be no more than 72 hours.
A rescission notice will be distributed.
