Barbara Ann Vacanti, 72, died Dec. 10, 2009, at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.She was born in Chattanooga, Tenn., and lived in Vero Beach for 10 years, coming from Pompano Beach. Before retirement, she worked at Hale Groves for four years. She was a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and Broad Based Investment Club in Vero Beach.Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Anthony Vacanti of Vero Beach; son, Michael Vacanti of Williamsville, N.Y.; daughters, Diane Parks of Boca Raton and Cheryl Scott of Oak Park, Calif.; brother, Harley Chuck Harcrow of Jacksonville; sister, Linda Buczek of Chattanooga; and six grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her son, John Vacanti.Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA/Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Dec. 12 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach.
