Mary Vivian Lawson Reyes, 53, born in Vero Beach

Mary Vivian Lawson Reyes, 53, of Grand Rapids, Mich., died in Bryon Center, Mich., on October 8, 2009.Reyes was born August 29, 1956 in Vero Beach  and has been a resident of Grand Rapids for 15 years. She was a mail handler for United States Postal Service for 15 years in Grand Rapids.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years Jose Reyes of Grand Rapids; daughters Gloria Reyes, Angela Penton and Victoria Reyes all of Grand Rapids; brother Charles Lawson of Everett, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by two sisters Tina Marie Warner and Sarah Lee Lawson.Condolences may be sent through www.seawindsfh.com/obit.php.

Geneva Jo Lewis, 51, died June 21, 2011, at her home. She was born in Dayton, Ohio, and lived in Vero Beach since 1971, coming from New Paris, Ohio. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Vero Beach and Veterans Club of Vero Beach. Survivors include her daughters, Jamie Wynn and Sheri Johnson, both of Vero Beach; father, James J. Lewis, of Vero Beach; sister Linda Hill, of Vero Beach; and brothers, Mark Lewis, of Appleton, Wis., and Richard Lewis, of Vero Beach. Becker Award of Excellence bestowed on Daniel Koh

VERO BEACH -- The Becker Award of Excellence, created by Lisa and Bill Becker of Vero Beach, has been awarded to two faculty members at Saint Edward's School. The Award's purpose is to recognize outstanding faculty members at Saint Edward's School who have at least three years teaching experience at Saint Edward's and a minimum of five years teaching experience overall.
