Hours & Address: Lunch and dinner, daily 11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m.
3450 Ocean Drive, Vero Beach 32963 | Phone: 772-231-6996

What and Where: This restaurant on the Ocean Drive hotel strip was a favorite of Dodgers players and fans in Vero’s spring training era, and it remains a popular hangout to this day. The packed bar (particularly in season) has a clubby feel. The bartenders and servers know the regulars – and treat them like friends.

Ambiance/Atmosphere: Think Cheers bar with better food.

Must-Try Dishes: Vero’s best burgers.

Adult Beverages: Great bar; good wine selection.

Reservations: No reservations; often a wait.

Price: $$

Rating: Four stars

Overall Verdict: From ribeye steaks to charbroiled burgers, Bobby’s is the place to dine whether you are seeking a gourmet dinner or casual sandwich. The burgers are the best in town, and the slabs of prime rib have an equally enthusiastic following. Bobby’s servers – many of whom have been with him for decades – always have specials to tell you about, and you can take their advice to the bank. The fresh seafood dishes are as good as those anywhere, and the pork chop we had one night was outstanding.
