Angels and demons, crimefighting superheroes and real-life Indian River County Firefighter heroes … the 65th annual Halloween Parade and Costume Contest had it all. From ingeniously elaborate to simple and comfortable, the assortment of costume-clad children and adults gathered at the historic Vero Beach Women’s Club before strolling up 14th Avenue, posing for photos along the way, to the Vero Beach Community Center, where they vied for top honors in the annual costume contest. Hosted by the City of Vero Beach Recreation Department, the event was sponsored by ABC Printing and the George E. Warren Corporation.
