The Sebastian River Area Chamber of Commerce presents its 32nd annual Denim & Diamonds Lifestyle and Media Auction on Thursday, Sept. 18. The event runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Capt. Hiram’s Resort Tiffany Room, 1606 Indian River Dr., Sebastian. This long-running auction has built a reputation for combining a festive night out with practical benefits for area businesses. Designed to help professionals stretch their advertising dollars while gaining exposure in the marketplace, the evening will features catering by Woody’s Bar-B-Q. The Vero Beach Trials to Triumph Team Success Gala benefiting Team Success Enterprises begins at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept.19, at the Richardson Center on the Indian River State College Mueller Campus, 6155 College Lane, Vero Beach. Attendees will enjoy dinner highlighting the flavors of Costa Azul, a cash bar, and guest speakers Deborah Taylor-Long and Brook Hall. The 40th International Coastal Cleanup will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at 25 waterfront park locations throughout Indian River County. Organized by Ocean Conservancy and supported locally by Coastal Connections, the cleanup is part of a global effort that has spanned four decades. Since its inception, over 17 million volunteers worldwide have collected more than 348 million pounds of trash. Volunteers in Indian River County are invited to help protect local waterways and marine life while contributing to the global tally. The awards celebration and after-party runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Walking Tree Brewery, 3209 Dodger Road, Vero Beach. There will be music, raffle items, awards, and food from Salvador Deli. The Boots on the Beach benefit starts at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at Riomar Golf Club, 2106 Club Drive, Vero Beach. The evening features cocktails, dinner and a keynote address from U.S. Navy SEAL veteran Karl “Gus” Gustavson. H.A.L.O. No-Kill Shelter presents a “Comedy to the Rescue” fundraiser at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at the Heritage Center, 2140 14th Ave, Vero Beach. The Space Coast Symphony Orchestra will present Beethoven’s Triple Concerto starting at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, at the Community Church of Vero Beach, 1901 23rd St. The concert begins with Tan Dun’s Passacaglia: Secret of Wind and Birds, where audience members will be invited to use their cellphones to play recorded bird songs, creating a soundscape with the orchestra. Pianist Lindsay Garritson joins Concertmaster Carey Moorman and his son, cellist Isaac Moorman, to perform Beethoven’s “Triple” Concerto, a rare piece for three soloists. The program concludes with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6, the “Pastoral,” celebrated for its serene depiction of the countryside. Riverside Theatre brings in headliner Kevin Lee and feature act Irwin Loring to its Comedy Zone this weekend. The shows are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, and Saturday, Sept. 20. Lee blends comedy, magic and juggling in his act. Loring uses family, relationships, religion and society for his comedy material. Tickets are $15 for side seats and $25 for table seats.
