The 40th International Coastal Cleanup will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at 25 waterfront park locations throughout Indian River County. Organized by Ocean Conservancy and supported locally by Coastal Connections, the cleanup is part of a global effort that has spanned four decades. Since its inception, over 17 million volunteers worldwide have collected more than 348 million pounds of trash. Volunteers in Indian River County are invited to help protect local waterways and marine life while contributing to the global tally.
