INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — An 18-year-old man has critical injuries following a rollover crash Tuesday morning on Interstate 95, officials said.

The wreck happened about 11:37 a.m. on northbound I-95 at the 158 mile-marker, fire rescue officials and highway troopers said. Florida Highway Patrol troopers said the man was driving a 2011 tan Toyota 4D when he lost control of the vehicle and veered into the median.

The vehicle overturned in the southbound lanes, officials said.

The man – who was the only person in the Toyota – was flown to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce, Indian River County Fire Rescue Bureau Chief of Emergency Medical Services Steve Greer said. Highway troopers continue to investigate the crash.
