Featuring Celebrity Chef Marcus Samuelsson, Windsor Florida Celebrates a Festive Jazz Supper with Signature Dishes and a Book Signing

Windsor Florida, a private residential sporting club community spanning 472 acres of lush barrier island between the Indian River and the Atlantic Ocean in Vero Beach, is honored to announce the success of its first Jazz Supper held on February 28 featuring the acclaimed, award-winning celebrity chef, author, philanthropist, restaurateur, television personality and food activist, Marcus Samuelsson.

The event kicked off at Windsor’s Beach Club Salon and Bar with passed canapes and Red Rooster’s signature drink, “Yes, Chef.” Following cocktail hour, 120 guests were seated in Windsor’s luxurious oceanfront dining room and veranda. Guests were offered an array of signature dishes and sides from Marcus’s most popular and first restaurant, Red Rooster Harlem. Offerings included Cornbread with Honey Butter, Berbere Cured Salmon, Roasted Cauliflower Steak, Marcus’s famous Fried Yard Bird Tower with sparklers, Mac & Greens and Red Rooster’s signature donut desert.

Following the soiree’s jazz theme, guests enjoyed live music from jazz musician Daniel “Saxman” Fuqua before hearing from Marcus himself about his career, history and current endeavors.

At the end of the evening, each guest received a signed copy of Marcus’s latest book, The Rise: Black Cooks and the Soul of American Food.
