Indian River County verified 69 new COVID-19 cases Friday, along with two new deaths, according to the Florida Department of Health county report. This raises the total amount of county cases to 9,653, while the death toll increased to 226.

The numbers in the reports are provisional and subject to change. Health officials said 102 out of the 226 Indian River County deaths were at long-term care facilities.

There have been 598 COVID-19 hospitalizations in Indian River County, health officials said. The number of hospitalizations and county cases are both cumulative.

There were 31 people still hospitalized as of Friday, according to the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration.

For the Indian River County cases among residents, 6,424 were white, 957 were black, 843 were listed as “other” and 1,348 were listed as “unknown.”

Statewide, the number of COVID-19 cases increased to 1,698,570, health officials said. The number of virus-related deaths increased to 26,685.

Statewide, 1,332,746 people have received their first COVID-19 vaccine doses, and 273,249 have gotten both doses, according to a state vaccine summary. In Indian River County, 14,629 people have received their first COVID-19 vaccine doses, while 1,356 have gotten both doses, a county vaccine summary shows.

Indian River County verified 68 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, along with two new deaths, according to the Florida Department of Health county report. This raises the total amount of county cases to 9,586, while the death toll increased to 224.

The numbers in the reports are provisional and subject to change. Health officials said 100 out of the 224 Indian River County deaths were at long-term care facilities.

There have been 595 COVID-19 hospitalizations in Indian River County, health officials said. The number of hospitalizations and county cases are both cumulative.

There were 43 people still hospitalized as of Thursday, according to the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration.

For the Indian River County cases among residents, 6,375 were white, 951 were black, 834 were listed as “other” and 1,344 were listed as “unknown.”

Statewide, the number of COVID-19 cases increased to 1,687,594, health officials said. The number of virus-related deaths increased to 26,456.

Statewide, 1,319,822 people have received their first COVID-19 vaccine doses, and 247,330 have gotten both doses, according to a state vaccine summary. In Indian River County, 13,869 people have received their first COVID-19 vaccine doses, while 1,254 have gotten both doses, a county vaccine summary shows.
