Health officials said 54 out of the 104 Indian River County deaths were at long-term care facilities.

There have been 269 hospitalizations from COVID-19 in Indian River County, health officials said. The county cases and number of hospitalizations are both cumulative.
There were seven people still hospitalized from COVID-19 in the county as of Tuesday, health officials said.
For the Indian River County cases among residents, 1,481 were white, 366 were black, 328 were listed as “other” and 726 were listed as “unknown.”
There have been 32,217 total tests completed in Indian River County, with 2,921 testing positive and 29,278 testing negative, health officials said. The testing figures account for residents and non-residents.
Statewide, the number of cases increased to 650,092. The number of deaths in Florida increased to 12,067.

The new Indian River County death is:
- A 90-year-old man who traveled to Delaware, but had no known contact with an infected person. The man’s case was counted Aug. 25.
