INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A 43-year-old Merritt Island woman died after her vehicle rolled over Thursday afternoon in the western part of the county, fire rescue crews said.

Florida Highway Patrol identified the woman as Elizabeth Holdeman. Troopers said Holdeman was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The single-vehicle wreck, involving a green 1976 Triumph TR6 convertible, happened about noon Thursday on eastbound State Road 60, about two miles east of the Yeehaw Junction, Indian River County Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Kyle Kofke said. Troopers said Holdeman was traveling near Blue Cypress Road when she veered to the right off the roadway and onto the southern grass shoulder.

The convertible overturned. Holdeman was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

There were no passengers in the vehicle, Kofke said. Troopers continue to investigate the cause of the deadly crash.
