A 50-year-old woman who was reported missing last week has been found safe, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies located Karen Borchardt on Tuesday, said sheriff’s spokesman Maj. Eric Flowers. The time and location where she was found were not immediately available.
Borchardt was reported missing about 4:30 p.m. Jan. 11 after she left a home in the 7800 block of 14th Lane in Vero Beach. She didn’t live at the residence and deputies thought Borchardt might have hitchhiked a ride south.
Deputies had pinged Borchardt’s cell phone to several locations, including Broward County, Port St. Lucie, Loxahatchee and Riviera Beach. The reason Borchardt left the home was not available.
