Dellaphine Hilda Thorne, 85, of Vero Beach, passed away on Sept. 22, 2016.
She is survived by her daughter Kimberly Thorne (Dale) Ledford of Vero Beach; grandchildren Gillian Ledford of Port St. Lucie, and Kevin and Kaitlynn Ledford of Vero Beach; great-grandchildren Allyson and Dominic Valliere of Port St. Lucie, Dante Ledford-Solis and Riley Mashburn of Vero Beach.
She was predeceased by her husband John C. Thorne, Jr.; daughter Pamela Myers; and granddaughter Star Esele.
Thorne was born Jan. 31, 1931, in Port Jefferson, N.Y., to the late William and Dellaphine Lynch.
She moved to Vero Beach in the late 1950’s coming from Stony Brook, N.Y. After her move, she met John C. Thorne, Jr. and the two were married in 1961.
A gathering will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Sept. 29, 2016, at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home and Crematory.
